Plucking the Eagle's Wings

The Prophetic Implication of Election 2000

that the people were "in debt, discontent and discouraged" (I Samuel 22:1-2). Debt is a financial condition, discontent is an emotional condition, and discouragement is a spiritual condition. Their lives were in turmoil, yet they knew something better was coming from God, if they could find God's man to lead the nation in the right direction. Americans often look for a man to solve their problems in the same manner that the ancient Israelites did. We must find men of faith and moral character to lead, instead of ones who make promises and break vows. The comparison between Saul and David illustrates this practical advice: it is better to have a leader who is humble before God than a genius who leads with arrogance. The confusion flourished with incorrectly marked ballots, pregnant chads, dimpled chads, uncounted military ballots, and charges of confusing ballots and denied opportunities to vote. To those who are spiritual, this was not a political conspiracy, but a true spiritual battle similar to the one fought in the heavenlies in Daniel 10. When something of this nature happens, great insight comes by evaluating prophetic patterns to determine if the people involved have a particular pattern for that time. I do not believe there are patterns in every event, every election, or at every moment in history. However, I do believe that when events transpire during a prophetic season, the patterns they reflect can have prophetic implications. As I began to research the four candidates names (George W. Bush, Albert Gore, Dick Cheney and Joe Lieberman), I began to see that Bush and Lieberman seemed to have various patterns connected to the prophetic season that we are in. But I found little or nothing relating to Vice President Gore or Mr. Cheney. I will not, under any conditions, give the details of the various patterns we researched. I have told my wife some details that I believe could happen over the next several years, but I will not share that publicly. However, I do wish to show you why I believe it was destined that Bush would win Florida. It is in the prophetic numbers. It's All in the Numbers Because much of my study of Scripture involves Hebraic
