Plucking the Eagle's Wings
2001 to 2008 and the Fullness of the Gentiles
language groups remain.
"And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come." (Matthew 24:14) Notice that the Gospel does not reach every person, but every nation. The Greek word for nation is ethnos and it often refers to Gentiles. Today we would say ethnic group, or missionaries would say language group. The Gospel will be preached to every ethnic and language group. Voice of Evangelism supports men like Jack Harris, Kelvin McDaniel, and Russell Domingue who travel to remote regions of the earth and minister to the unreached groups. This represents the fulfillment of the words of Jesus, who taught that after this final thrust of global evangelism, the end would come. The Greek word end is the word telos. According to the W.E. Vines Dictionary of New Testament Words, telos can mean the limit which a person or thing ceases to be what it is . The dispensation of the grace of God is given to the Gentiles (Ephesians 3:2). When this time frame is complete, Christ comes for the church. Paul said it this way: "That in the dispensation of the fullness of times, he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him." (Ephesians 1:10) The fullness of times is connected to the fullness of the Gentiles (Romans 11:25). Both are linked to the Gentile Christian church and its mission to reach the Gentile nations with the Gospel of Christ. During the next few years, I believe we will see the greatest efforts of global evangelism in world history. Many nations in Western Europe are hardened to the Gospel and blinded by religious tradition. In Africa, the threat of radical Islam is spreading. Doors will not always be open, and the time will come when evangelism will be restrained. The world will move toward a global Roman church system and make other Christian faiths obsolete. America must retain her Christian identity and enforce religious freedom. There must be one nation on earth where believers can take refuge and freely share the Gospel. It is up to our national leaders to set the example and to continue to support America's Biblical foundations. If, as a nation, we remain divided over Christian values, we will pluck the wings of the eagle and experience great
