minds. As Solomon said, "There is nothing new under the sun." A few of these destructive attitudes are: • increased resistance to the preaching of the Bible; • increased persecution of Christians and Christian values; • the love of the "games" is more important than the love of God and His truth; • commonplace desecration of the Sabbath by not keeping it Holy before God; • increased corruption that innocent citizens cannot halt. An eagle has two wings, one head, and one body. America has two major political parties (wings), one president (head) and one body comprised of the people. Since the 1960s, the "left wing" has represented more liberal thinking, while the "right wing" has represented more traditional (or conservative) thinking. Before the 1960s, both wings often agreed on spiritual matters and moral opinions. During the 1960s, with the hippie movement, the controversy over the Vietnam War, and the removal of prayer and Bible reading from public schools, we saw public policy polarize toward two opposite viewpoints. This polarization has caused great animosity between many groups of Americans. Generally, Democrats represent the left wing, or the liberal viewpoint. For example, many Democrat leaders support abortion rights and special rights for homosexuals. Many resist allowing prayer in public schools. The Republican Party is often considered the right wing, or conservative party. A politician who is conservative is generally marked for media criticism. Most Americans can clearly see these divisions. The Hypocrisy of Liberalism Extreme liberalism breeds extreme contradictions. When conservative African American Judge Clarence Thomas was nominated for Supreme Court Justice, extreme feminists swarmed all over Washington like buzzards after a wounded carcass. An African American woman stepped forward and alleged that Thomas had made sexual advances toward her. Feminists demanded that the Thomas nomination not be confirmed. Years later, the president had sex with an
