He was re-elected in 1948, and an embarrassed news media that had already called the election for Dewey reported his success! On November 29, 1947, the United Nations voted to divide Palestine, enabling Jews to return to their homeland and once again become a nation. Many people did not want Truman to support the resolution. Meanwhile, in New York, the old Jewish friend was encouraged to contact Truman. His friends said, "You know Truman. Ask him to please vote in favor of the U.N. decision." He contacted Truman and, soon thereafter, America voted in favor of the U.N. partition. America had officially recognized the Jewish right to its homeland. God had the right man in authority at the right time when the Jews needed the U.N. resolution to pass. This one event among many is significant in terms of Harry Truman's destiny. Another man was destined to be president. His name was Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan's Pre-Presidential Prophecy Few Americans are aware of the personal prophecy given to Ronald Reagan while he was governor of California. It revealed that he would become President. The story begins in California in October, 1970. Herbert E. Ellingwood, Reagan's Secretary of Legal Affairs, brought several guests to visit the Governor, including singer Pat Boone, Mr. Bredsen, and a minister named George Otis. Pat Boone was a long time friend of Reagan. The Governor would be facing re-election soon. That day the conversation included a discussion on Bible prophecy and how the Holy Spirit is moving in the last days. When it was time to go, Ellingwood led the group toward the front door so the final goodbyes could be said. One of the ministers spoke up and asked, "Governor, do you mind if we take a Moment and pray for you and Mrs. Reagan?" "We would appreciate that," Reagan replied as his countenance turned rather serious. Then the group formed a circle and joined hands, and Reagan bowed his head rather sharply. Prayer was offered asking for God's blessings. Suddenly, in the middle of the prayer, the unexpected occurred. George Otis recalled what transpired:
