Plucking the Eagle's Wings

Plucking the Eagle's Wings

and it was sealed by the curse of a powerful Indian leader, can we look to the Bible to understand how the shedding of innocent blood can bring a curse? We know that "God hates the hands of those that shed innocent blood" (Proverbs 6:16-17). The Lord warned Noah, "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man" (Genesis 9:6). Scripture is not just a book of ancient opinions. It is filled with warnings from the Almighty, who also said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away" (Matthew 24:35). Because the Almighty is the same yesterday, today, and forever these warnings apply today. The Commander in Chief The President of the United States is the Commander in Chief of America's armed forces. God scolded Israel as He announced, "I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath" (Hosea 13:11). At age twenty, a male was old enough to become a soldier in Israel (Numbers 1:3). Interestingly, the "zero curse" has manifested with Scripture does refer to the "curse of shedding innocent blood." Christ rebuked His generation for its unbelief. He said that God would allow the sacred Temple and the city of Jerusalem to be destroyed because the Hebrews shed the blood of righteous men of God. Christ said, "That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias whom ye slew between the Temple and the altar." Jesus said that severe judgment would fall upon His generation (Matthew 23:35,36). About forty years later in the year 70 A.D., Rome's tenth legion destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple and killed men, women, and children. God warned that He would "visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the third and fourth generation" (Exodus 20:5; 34:7; Numbers 14:18). An average generation is forty years long (Psalms 95:10). Since William Harrison, the first president to die in office was elected in 1840, four generations of 40 years each would bring us exactly to the year 2000. This brings us to a serious question. Was the "zero curse" permanently broken with Ronald Reagan, or will the president elected in the year leaders elected at twenty-year intervals. Cursed for Up to Four Generations
