where you have listed your needs. 6. Be specific. I cannot overemphasize the importance of this key. When you are praying for your child, say, “Father, here is [name]. This is my child, who is [age] years of age. He needs [state specific need].” I often have people calling my ministry office to order a tape. Someone may say, “Please send me the tape on mystery .” I have 250 tapes with the word mystery in them. What is the specific tape they want to order? Remember this practical principle, because it mirrors a great spiritual principle: the person who states the specific tape they are ordering will get his or her tape far quicker than the person who does not ask specifically! 7. Be sincere. Have a pure motive for your prayer. Do not come before God with a proud, boastful, or arrogant spirit. 8. Be energetic. “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16). Pray with energy and fire. Pray with the anointing of God. 9. Be steadfast. Pray without ceasing. Pray when

you are driving to work, walking in the neighborhood, or taking a shower. Pray continually. Pray without wavering.
