We should not seek angels, neither should we be caught up in angel worship, which has occurred from time to time throughout history. Our spiritual, physical, and financial blessings are always released through faith, obedience, and patience. However, just as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were given a redeeming angel that ensured their inheritance and blessing, believers today have angels that are on assignment on our behalf, ensuring that God’s covenant blessings are released upon His covenant servants. As a new covenant believer, never be hesitant to exercise your spiritual authority by petitioning God for blessings in your times of prayer. I have met some who suggest that it is wrong to seek God for His blessings; they say that we should just be passive and accept whatever comes our way—good or bad. However, you cannot read the New Testament, especially the promises of Christ, without realizing that it is the will of God for you to be blessed: first spiritually, then emotionally, then physically, and then financially. Angels are a part of the blessing program of God. The angel of the L ORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. —P SALM 34:7
