P LACES OF V ISITATIONS At times when I am meditating upon a message for a major conference and feel stuck in one thought zone and unable to break out to receive fresh insight, I will leave the office and walk to the property called the Omega Ranch behind our facility. I often end up at the prayer barn, where I sense the peace of the Holy Spirit. This prayer area is where our youth meet each week for intercession, and I consider it a hot spot where there is a small open heaven . I say this because it is very easy to pray at any time in this area. Instead of reading the Bible, I will simply begin to muse over my thoughts and begin humming a gospel hymn or singing and worshiping God. In a short time I experience a breakthrough and receive the necessary insight to complete the subject I will teach. You need to discover your secret place or prayer closet where you can be still and hear from the Lord. Remember that the instruction you receive from the Lord will always agree with the Word of God and never contradict it. F IND Y OUR S ECRET P LACE Your “secret place” is that one special location you select that becomes your consistent meeting place between you and God. At the beginning of Christ’s ministry He spent forty days in isolation in the wilderness of Judea praying and resisting the temptations of Satan (Matt. 4:1-2).
