the living creatures at the four corners of God’s throne. They have no rest day or night as they cry out, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty” (Rev. 4:8). Certainly the Almighty does not tire or become weary when angels or men give Him continual praise and worship. In fact, when the saints are with God in the New Jerusalem, there will be no more need to pray, because all spiritual and material needs are met, and God and the Lamb dwell with the saints. We will forever worship the King! 11. G OD A NSWERS P RAYERS FOR H IS G LORY Every time, and I do mean every time, my father concluded his prayer with these words: “For the glory of the Son of God.” He emphasized the word glory , and his voice always raised slightly, as if to emphasize the word. In earlier years I wondered why he said this phrase each time. Then when I was called to preach and studied the Word, I saw that in the four Gospels, when a person was healed by Christ, we read, “They marveled and glorified God” (Matt. 9:8); “They glorified the God of Israel” (Matt. 15:31); “All were amazed and glorified God” (Mark 2:12). When Christ was asked to come and pray for Lazarus, He told the people, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it” (John 11:4). Later I consulted with Dad, and he said, “God does not heal and touch someone just because we need a healing or a touch. He does what He does to bring glory to His
