Albert Pike gives us some additional names for Thor. He explains: “THOR WAS THE SUN, THE EGYPTIAN OSIRIS and Kneph, the Phoenician BEL OR BAAL.” BAAL IS ALSO A SYNONYM FOR THE DEVIL. This god Baal, under the name of Thor, is called “the Prince of the Power of the Air.” Baal worship is condemned by the Bible (I Kings 16:30-33, 22:53; II Kings 17:16, etc.), and in Ephesians 2:2 we find that Satan is called the “prince of the power of the air.” Not only does Satan have the same title as is given to the god Thor, but we should notice that the word “Thor” means “thunder.” Thor “was the god of lightning and thunder in Norse mythology.” This is a significant statement for Satanists use the symbol called a “Satanic S,” which resembles a lightning bolt. In Luke 10:18 Jesus says: “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” Is it any wonder that the Bible further informs us that this “prince of the power of the air” is “the spirit that now worketh in the children of DISOBEDIENCE” (Ephesians 2:2)? Additionally, the gavel, like so many of the other symbols, also has a sexual connotation. Masonic author, J. S. M. Ward, remarks: “Thus we see that the HAMMER, OR GAVEL, and the TAU were originally the same, and this is a natural evolution of symbols, for the TAU CROSS IS EVOLVED FROM THE PHALLUS, and that is the SYMBOL OF GOD the Creator....” This reference shows us that the gavel, the hammer, and the tau cross were all the same and, therefore, the meanings would be the same.
