Masonic & Occult Symbols Illustrate
One researcher explains: “The pegasus, or winged horse, originated in Greek mythology as the symbol of the Pegae, a water-priestess. The pegasus was said to be the son of the Moon Goddess Medusa. His hoof was shaped like a crescent moon, which today is yet another New Age and occult symbol. The pegasus is depicted today in the kids’ cartoon series ‘SheRa,’ and crystal pegasus horses are common as amulets and decorative pieces in the homes of New Agers.” For clarification, one account mentions Gorgon and the other report refers to Medusa. There is no contradiction here. There were three Gorgons who were sisters, one of whom was Medusa. Poseidon seduced Medusa in the temple of Athene. She became angry over this and “turned Medusa’s hair into snakes. When Perseus decapitated Medusa, the blood which escaped from the wound gave birth to Chrysaor and the horse Pegasus.”
