Once again you can observe the paganism that is so prevalent in Masonry. You can also see that the Mason is being taught that if his good deeds outweigh his bad deeds, he will “dwell among the gods.” This is a teaching that is contrary to God’s Word, for we can never be saved by works. II Timothy 1:9 mentions that God “hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, NOT ACCORDING TO OUR WORKS, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.” In Titus we are told: “NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5).
