Yes, the Greeks did prize the human body—but they drew and sculpted their human figures in the nude. In fact, says Terence D. McLean (in reference to the Greek Olympics), “...once in the stadium, everyone was required to be naked.” “Olympic athletes served as models for those workmen who were fashioning idol Greek gods and goddesses for the people to worship! Thus, the gods and goddesses were endowed with spectacular physical gifts that resembled those of the Olympic athletes. And the legends built to support these idols were that the Greek gods were almost always immoral and promiscuous.” Of course, this immoral behavior is fully condoned (and even sometimes supported and promoted) by the humanists. Remember (as mentioned earlier) that the Humanist Manifesto II says: “While we do not approve of exploitive, denigrating forms of sexual expression, neither do we wish to prohibit it, by law or social sanction, sexual behavior between consenting adults. The many varieties of sexual exploration should not in themselves be considered ‘evil.’...a civilized society should be a tolerant one. Short of harming others or compelling them to do likewise, individuals should be permitted to express their sexual proclivities and pursue their life-styles as they desire.” [Italics in the original] A lot of this sexual tolerance (or a better word would be promiscuity) is also being taught in our schools. Remember, as was mentioned in the chapter on the yin/yang, that the Sex Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) stated that contraceptive services should be available to minors. They added: “It is the position of SIECUS that the use of explicit sexual materials (sometimes referred to as pornography) can serve a variety of important needs in the lives of countless individuals....” Again, the Bible warns about this in Jude 1:17b-19: “[T]he apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ...told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own lusts. These be they who separate themselves, SENSUAL, having not the Spirit.” “In 1933, the Humanist Manifesto declared that ‘social hygiene’ (sex education) would be one of the paths of Humanism for the future. In 1961, Elysium, Inc. was incorporated to purvey pornography which would lead to the formation of SIECUS ‘to solve the problem of pornography’ by sex education in schools.”
