The Code of the Last Days of Noah and Lot

prosperity. When your eyes are on prosperity, they are moved away from the parousia, a Greek word for the Lord’s coming (1 Thess. 2:19; 3:13; 4:15). It was Christ who warned about the cares of life and the deceitfulness of riches (Mark 4:19), and how that through overindulgence, the day (of Christ’s return) would come upon a person unaware (Luke 21:34). A third warning is that things will immediately change the day of Christ’s return. Peace will be replaced by war and prosperity by persecution and pestilence. In Noah’s time, all things continued as normal until the rain began to pelt the ground, and in Lot’s time when fire—possibly volcanic—began raining down upon Sodom (Gen. 19:24). The people did not know what was coming until the day the judgments unfolded (Matt. 24:38-39). As believers, we must use our resources to reach the lost around the globe in the time that we have remaining. Scripture tells us that the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to the nations, and then the end will come (Matthew 24:14). Using your resources to help spread the gospel ensures both an earthly blessing and a heavenly reward, as financial resources are needed to reach nations with the glorious gospel of Christ. Future financial increase that is in the earth until the return of the Messiah should and must be the war chest of the believer, and it must be tapped into in order to bring help, relief and deliverance to those in need. T HE F OUR B LESSINGS FOR N OAH There is one more aspect to this Noah code that is overlooked. For believers, there is a great hope in the time of the end. We know that in Noah’s day, the imaginations of men were evil (Gen 6:5), the earth was filled with violence (Gen. 6:11), and immorality was rampant (Gen. 6:4). What is seldom taught by prophetic ministers are the four blessings that Noah experienced before the flood came, and these blessings should parallel the four blessings that we as believers can experience before the coming day of the Lord. I. We Will Preach Until The Day That Christ Returns Many attempts have and still are being made to pass laws that limit free speech and persecute Christians in North America and other Western nations. This causes many to believe the day will come when liberal leaders will pass laws to shut the mouths of evangelical Christians. However, Noah had about one
