even a church thinks they have arrived and have all of the answers. As long as the fruit on a tree is green, it will grow, but if it keeps hanging on after it matures, it can eventually turn rotten. If we maintain a teachable spirit in the process of moving toward the favor of God, we will always learn and step up to the next level of revelation for God’s kingdom. Once we think that we have arrived, we can stagnate. When Bathsheba and David’s illegitimate son was born, he was stricken with a sickness. David spent seven days with his face on the ground in intercession asking God to heal the child. After seven days the child passed away. God did not heal the child, but that’s not the end of the story. Bathsheba became pregnant with a second son of David’s, who was named Solomon , meaning “peaceful” and “loved of the Lord” (2 Sam. 12:24). The sorrow of one son’s early death was replaced by the joy of another son’s birth. Solomon would become one of the Bible’s wisest men and the builder of the most magnificent temple in Israel’s history! Not every road is straight. There will be potholes, roadblocks, and detours on the journey. This is because you must deal with people when you pursue your dream. Always remember that people will never understand what you are sensing in the same way that you do. When our ministry began to grow and I hired many wonderful workers, it took years for me to realize that they will not have the burden for the baby (ministry) that I birthed and carried in just the same way I will. A babysitter may love the infant he or she is watching, but once the sitter walks out the door, his or her burden and sense of responsibility is over—until the next time that sitter enters
