manifestations, which are conceived within the spirit of the person. Whenever there is a strong outpouring of the Holy Spirit, there will always be an increase of spiritual revelation. In the last days, the Lord will pour out His Spirit upon “all flesh; your sons and your daughters…” (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17). It is difficult to determine the actual age of a “son or daughter” from the actual Hebrew or Greek words. In most instances, a son and daughter is one who is not married and still under the influence of the parent. My son and daughter can be married and still remain my son and daughter; however, the children they have become my “children’s children” or my children’s “seed.” Today, children who have become young adults are marrying much later than they did in my day or even my father’s day. Why would young men see visions and old men dream dreams? Why is it not reversed to read, “Young men shall dream dreams and old men shall see visions”? Does it really matter? I believe it is because the Spirit will be poured out on the youth, and this intensive movement of the Spirit always increases the intensity and the sensitivity of the human spirit to the things of God. I believe the second reason has to do with the level of spiritual maturity. Because of years of personal experiences with the Lord, the old men have their senses trained to correctly discern the spiritual from carnal, whereas a youth may not have the maturity to correctly discern or understand the deeper truth. Young men need a vision—one so dramatic and clear that it becomes impossible for a young man to doubt it was from the Lord. An older, more experienced believer has a fine-tuned
