ANGELS AS MEN IN DREAMS Throughout especially the Old Testament, angels would appear to the patriarchs and the prophets in the form of men. These appearances were at times in visible human form and at other times in dreams or visions. In the time of Abraham, the Lord and two angels paid a visit to the tent of Abraham, where they ate with him and the Lord entered into a negotiation with Abraham concerning the city of Sodom. After the final agreement was sealed, the two angels traveled to Sodom and were mistaken for two men. Obviously they were not wearing white linen and did not have two golden wings. They had a flesh tone very similar to that of human men. In the Book of Hebrews, the writer informs the reader that we should be careful when entertaining strangers, for we may be unaware that they are angels (Heb. 13:2). In a spiritual dream, an angel can appear in the form of a man. In one major experience in 1988, which remains with me to this day, I was given a direct instruction in a dream related to the future of my ministry. I was preaching in a tent in Leeds, Alabama, in a revival that had extended into its fourth week. Early in the morning, while in a deep sleep, I entered into a dream/night vision, which was very clear and vivid. I walked up a hill, crossed a paved road, and saw a set of concrete steps. I observed television towers with satellite dishes attached, and a man with an olive complexion and beautiful white hair, who stood about six feet four inches and was dressed in a black suit, was standing beside the television tower.
