When men like Ezekiel, Daniel, and John saw visions of heaven, they identified numerous types of angels, such as cherubim, seraphim, and living creatures. (See Ezekiel 1; Isaiah 6:1–3; Revelation 5.) These angels are beings that minister before the throne of God on a consistent and eternal basis, and their description of color of brass, many wings and many eyes, and the appearance of an eagle, lion, and man are both amazing and almost difficult to comprehend. However, when ministering angels appear in dreams, visions, or on Earth with a warning or instruction, they seldom appear in these higher-level forms.
