person with facts and a clear picture will call things as they see it. A deceived person will read into a situation, misread a situation, and rewrite the facts according to a twisted perception. Deception always involves perception. To defeat lies, you must know truth, and to receive truth, you must know the fact. There are three very important facts that the adversary hopes you never find out, as this information will change your perception of the enemy. P ERCEPTION D ECEPTION 1: S ATAN W ANTS Y OU TO T HINK H E H AS N O L IMITATIONS Years ago while researching a message for a main conference, I came across some biblical research so fascinating that for the past twenty years I have been sharing it in churches. It deals with the fact that God placed limitations on Satan at the very moment of his creation. In God’s foreknowledge He knew that Satan would lead a heavenly rebellion with a third of the angels. He also knew that man would be created as a replacement for the fallen angels. Thus God placed a limitation on Satan at the time he was created. This limitation is revealed in a study of Ezekiel 28. Satan’s limitation From the beginning of God’s angelic creation, I believe the Creator placed specific limitations upon His highest-ranking angel, identified as “the anointed cherub” (Ezek. 28:14).
