CHAPTER 18 THREE SECRETS SATAN HOPES YOU NEVER FIND OUT

T HE PERSON WHO said, “Ignorance is bliss,” must have been living in a deep forest where simple life sustained itself with animals and raw vegetation, and there was no contact with human beings. Actually, ignorance can kill you. If you continually stop at a green light and go on a red light, you are either severely color blind or super ignorant. If you cross a train track with an oncoming train blowing its whistle, then you are either deaf to the sound or having serious thoughts of suicide. Either way, ignorance is not bliss—ignorance can be deadly. The same is true about understanding the devices of the enemy; we read, “Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices” (2 Cor. 2:11). The word devices can actually allude to the enemy’s perception of a situation. His perception of what he sees will help determine the type of weapon he releases from his arsenal. Deception is a major tool in the time of the end against even the righteous. Deception can be a perverted perception. A
