Exposing Satan's Playbook The Perry Stone
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. —1 J OHN 3:18–23 When you sin, there will be a sense of conviction—where the Holy Spirit will arrest and seize your attention to call you to repentance. If you obey and repent, you will be released from condemnation, which, in the Greek thought, is a sentence passed upon a person who was found guilty of a crime. Thus conviction is the arrest and condemnation is the penalty for the unrepentant sin. If a person’s heart senses condemnation when he prays because of a known or hidden sin, then he has no confidence in his prayer. This may be why many believers always desire someone else to pray for them and their specific needs. They have little confidence in their own prayers. If you are engaged in any type of activity in which you always have a feeling of conviction, then your prayers will be hindered, as the conviction is a sign of some form of disobedience in your life. If you are making every effort to be released and free from those things that are a spiritual hindrance, then I believe the grace and mercy of God will be extended to you, even in the midst of your struggle, as God’s will is for you to be free!
