Exposing Satan's Playbook The Perry Stone
spirits that we may encounter, but I believe the same principle exists in the generational curse realm. If I believe I am under a curse, acknowledge I am under a curse, and become fearful that a curse is following me, then fear itself can maintain the negative thoughts, emotions, and even physical attacks engaging me in spiritual warfare. The enemy will always enter any door where he is welcomed and permitted, but once exposed and divorced from your life, he will have no place in you (John 14:30; Eph. 4:27). Many alleged curses are simply works of the flesh (Gal. 5:19–21) that need to be exposed and dealt with through the discipline of the Holy Spirit. Paul wrote that he died daily (1 Cor. 15:31), meaning he found it necessary to discipline his flesh on a daily basis. Should a person maintain that he or she is under a generational curse, that person must understand that Christ’s redemptive covenant came to destroy the works of the devil and then develop a true understanding of how redemption brings freedom from the past. In Christ we become a new creation, as old things are passed away. Christ is not just a Redeemer and a Savior—but also a curse breaker!
