The biblical evidence reveals that once a person departs through death, a righteous person’s soul and spirit will be brought into Paradise in the third heaven (2 Cor. 12:1–7), but a sinner or unbeliever who dies without a redemptive covenant is separated into the compartment under the earth called hell (Luke 16:22–23).
