attire—and you have to make a choice. A voice whispers, “Man, this is your chance. Just get with her one more time. It’s been a few years, and you can always repent later.” Then another voice vibrates inside your spirit and says, “You know this is no good. She is a seducer and will do whatever she can to seduce you. Greet her and excuse yourself for the men’s room, or call a friend and tell him you need to see him!” The thought comes, “Run as Joseph did when Potiphar’s wife desired to have an affair with him.” (See Genesis 39:11–12.) Had this same scene unfolded a few months after your conversion to Christ, as a newborn infant in the faith, you probably would have submitted to the pressure building inside of your mind. This time is different. You now understand the playbook of the enemy . You have been armed with important, soul-saving knowledge. Thus you greet the woman, and immediately you begin to tell her how your life has been changed by the power of the Lord. She was not expecting your testimony, and being uncomfortable, she immediately says, “Good to see you again,” and goes her way. By using a spiritual strategy, you overcame a possible attack of the enemy, “ . . . by the word of [your] testimony” (Rev. 12:11).
