teachers had all seemed to miss the most important key to biblical prophecy and the return of the Messiah-King. The key was Israel. The picture became clearer in the late 1800s. 1917 and the Jerusalem Miracle In 1886, a Dr. Guinness began calculating various timeframes using biblical numbers from the Book of Daniel and exchanging their normal meaning of prophetic days into prophetic years. He calculated that the timeframes of 1,260 and 2,520 were not days but prophetic years, and he began calculating the times of the Gentiles mentioned in prophecy, which was a clue to the return of the Messiah.
