if a financial shortfall occurs. I have also followed the instruction of two other scriptures related to the business aspect of our ministry. First, Paul wrote not to be slothful in business but fervent in spirit; serving the Lord (Rom. 12:11). Second, we are told to owe no man anything, but to love one another (Rom. 13:8). Solomon says, “The borrower is servant to the lender” (Prov. 22:7). Most families have a home mortgage and a car payment. However, excessive debt will burden you under chains of heaviness. Don’t make major financial decisions linked with borrowing or debt, and don’t build unless you first count the cost and can pay the bills. Working From a Dream You were once a dream in the hearts of your mother and father. Your birth fulfilled that dream, and as you grew, their dreams grew. Late at night as they tucked you into bed, they dreamed about your future, your destiny. Where would you attend college? Whom would you marry? Would they enjoy grandchildren, and how old would they be when the grandkids were lying there where you lay? Now you are dreaming the same dreams your parents dreamed, except you have new dreams for a new generation in time and history. How will you fulfill the dream for your future that you see in your mind but don’t see before your eyes? The fulfillment of your dream is a process similar to growing and harvesting from a garden.
