Becoming A Vessel Of Honor Rebecca Brown
67 The door knob was destroyed. By the evening, everyone was feeling sick, Esther most of all. They gathered together in the family room for prayer. Elaine got up to get the oil to anoint her. Betty, Joyce and Rebecca stood up to gather around Esther. As Elaine walked back from the kitchen, she was suddenly struck from behind by an unseen force and pitched headlong over the back of the couch, yelling all the way. There she stuck, head down in the pillows, feet kick ing wildly in the air! Every one burst out laughing. Elaine is so short, she fit perfectly in the corner of the couch. "Hey, quit laughing and help me up!" she shouted. Joyce and Betty helped her back onto her feet. "Well, these demons certainly are unhappy about our little prayer meet ing," Rebecca said, still laughing. The laughter helped lighten their mood and they began to feel a bit encouraged. After they had prayed, the girls had supper and went to bed. They were all exhausted. Again, the blue light kept floating throughout the house waking them up. Sometimes it started flashing like a strobe light. It ex tinguished when rebuked, but quickly came back again. About the middle of the night, Esther got up to go into the bathroom. CRASH! "Hey, stop that!" she yelled. CRASH! "I command you to stop in the name of Jesus!" Betty and Rebecca dashed for the door, only to find that they couldn’t open it. "Esther, open this door," Betty called. The door knob rattled. "I can’t!" Esther said. "It’s not lock ed, but I can’t open it. Those wretched demons knocked me into the bath tub."
