Going forward as individuals to kneel before the altar to do business with the Lord is one thing, but lining up a bunch of people before a crowd and then praying over them and having them fall over is something else. It seems like too much of a show to me. Pretty heady stuff for the person doing the praying and healing. Everyone looks up to them as being a ‘powerful man of God, or woman of God.’ "Jesus, on the other hand, went quietly through the crowds healing. So many times, the person didn’t even know just WHO had healed them. Over and over again in the gospels, Jesus avoided the public eye, and he certainly NEVER put on a show. Our God simply will NOT perform when WE want Him to! When people think they can control God’s power, or at least use it when THEY want, they end up with demons performing the supposed miracles for them and pulling them deeper and deeper into deception." After a moment Rebecca spoke again, "You know, in the ten years I’ve been in this terrible battle, not once have I ever been ‘in control’ so to speak. I am ONLY a servant, that’s all. I have NO power, and NO control. I simply do what my Master tells me to do. Sometimes I get impatient and wish I could have control of a particular situation, but in the long run I’m glad the Lord works as He does. The awesome power of God is so much greater than anything Satan or the demons or any of us human beings could ever think of having! You know Joyce, I’m PROUD of my Master! He is so utterly wonderful and wise and powerful and glorious I just don’t have the words to describe Him! My heart nearly bursts when I stop to think about Him. He is so incredibly strong, yet He can be so very gentle and tender. What a combination! I’m just so proud of Him! In Isaiah 42:8 God says that He will NOT give His glory to
