220 spirit to Satan. They went on to say that Sam must demonstrate his absolute faithfulness and submission to Satan by killing the teacher of his current Bible study. After telling Sam all of this, the demons vanished as sud denly as they had come. Sam wondered at first if he had been dreaming, but the whole experience was far too real to be a dream. He talked to his Bible study teacher about the episode and she referred him to me. To say that Sam was shaken up is to put it very mildly. Prior to that visit by the demons, Sam had not even believed they existed and certainly never believed they could come to see him! Quite obviously, there had to be a lot more to Sam’s story than this one visit by demons. I want to emphasize again that you must not get side tracked looking at symptoms or one occurrence. There is ALWAYS a root cause. I asked Sam to tell me about his life in as much detail as he could remember. This is his story. Sam was born to Christian parents. He was raised in a very strict Christian home and attended only Christian schools. At the age of five, Sam had a visitation by Jesus and was called to preach the gospel. As a result, all of his life, Sam had planned to become a pastor. All went well until Sam turned thirteen years old. Sudden ly, to his horror, Sam began to experience very strong homosexual desires! Sam had never been sexually molested or participated in pornography or homosexuality of any kind. He did not listen to Rock music, go to movies, or even watch TV except on rare occasions. Sam knew from God’s word that homosexuality is an abomination to the Lord. He did not dare talk with anyone about the problem because
