204 chance to ask any questions, but reached out to put his hand on her forehead. She was told later by people who were there that the instant the preacher’s hand touched her, her body jerked back and flew into the air, doing two back flips and landing on the ground more than twenty feet away from where she had been standing. Susan never felt the impact because she was unconscious. It so happened that this was a charismatic tent meeting, so several people gathered around Susan, laid their hands on her and prayed over her in tongues. Susan regained consciousness speaking in tongues. The people all rejoiced and told Susan that she was saved, delivered and filled with the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, Susan had ab solutely NO idea how to get saved or what it meant to be saved. She did not know who Jesus was or what He had done. The people at that tent meeting had made a very serious error. They thought that the Holy Spirit works in some sort of magic way, knocking people unconscious and setting everything right while they are out. This just is not so! The demons knocked Susan out, and she most certainly was not saved or delivered! (Doorways: false tongues) The one good thing that came out of that experience was that Susan decided that now that she was "saved and filled with the Holy Spirit" that she should get a Bible and find a church. She did get a Bible, but never spent any time reading it as she could not understand it. She joined a charismatic Episcopal Church and decided to "go straight." She attended the church less than three months when she was invited to join their counseling staff. Susan still wasn’t saved! But, because of her experience
