People who have had demons living in them for long periods of time get very addicted to the emotional rewards the demons give them. It is a matter of self-discipline to begin to walk in obedience and faith to our Lord without the emo This is an area of great difficulty. The mind is like a muscle. If you don’t use it for a period of time it becomes weak and flabby. It is PAINFUL to rebuild a muscle that has not been used. It is a hundred times more painful and difficult to regain the use of a passive mind. If someone has been used to blanking out his mind, he will tend to do this after deliverance. Every time someone al lows his mind to go blank, he has directly opened a door way for demons to come back inside of himself. As soon as he realizes that he allowed his mind to go blank, he must confess that sin and then command all the demons to leave him immediately that came in while he was blanked out. I have found that the best way to rebuild a passive mind is through intensive scripture memory and plain old mathe matical tables. One reason why most people hate math is because of the mental discipline it takes to memorize the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division tables. That is why the companies who make calculators make so much money! Because people are basically lazy. I often have people who have been involved in Eastern forms of occultic meditation drill on mathematical tables in addition to scripture memory.
