Becoming A Vessel Of Honor Rebecca Brown

186 As soon as I started my medical practice, I began to see people daily who were coming out of Satanism. Obviously, I could not spend many, many hours with each one in deliverance. Quickly I sought the Lord for the answer. My prayer went something like this: "Lord, why is it that when Jesus commanded a demon to come out it came out im mediately and I am spending an hour arguing and fighting just to get one to come out?" The Lord’s answer was short and to the point: "Exactly!" You see, the fact that I was talk ing to and arguing with the demons WAS the problem. Not only was it the problem, it was SIN. Why? First, because I was allowing the person being delivered to fall into the sin of becoming a "medium." What is a medium? A medium is a person who allows spirits to speak through them. (See Webster’s Dictionary.) God strictly forbids this! (Deut. 18:10-12) Far too many times, deliverance workers will ask the person being delivered to just relax and let the demons speak through them. They are directly asking the person to sin! Secondly, scripture strictly forbids the practice of "familiar spirits." (See Deut. 18:10-12) What does it mean to consult a familiar spirit? It means to speak to a demon to obtain in formation from it. Witches have special demons that they use all the time to gain information from. When the deliverance worker relies on gaining information from the demons themselves about who they are and how they got in, etc., the worker is himself falling into the sin of having a familiar spirit, or consulting with a demon spirit! Lastly, we Christians are a temple of the Holy Spirit. "And what concord hath Christ with Belial?" II Cor. 6:15
