And finally:

"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”I Thessalonians 5:23

These scriptures clearly show that all three areas of us, body, soul and spirit, are affected by sin. All three areas must be cleansed by our Lord Jesus Christ. But we deal with sin on a day-to-day basis mostly within our conscious mind. I don’t think we will ever have a full understanding of the terrible down-drag this sin nature has been on us until we receive our glorified bodies and are set free from sin forever! Yes, demons tempt us to sin, but, ultimately, the decision is ours. We CHOOSE to sin! Therefore, whether the demons are inside of us or afflicting us from the outside, we are squarely responsible before God for everything we do. You may be sure the demons understand our sin nature through and through. That is why they can manipulate us so well. The whole Bible is full of verses strongly urging us to battle against our natural desire to do those things which are wrong.

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1 ”For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striv ing against sin.”Hebrews 12:3-4
