We must remember that just as Christians believe they must evangelize the world with the gospel (see Matthew 24:14), Muslims also believe they are on a mission from Allah to convert the world to Islam. This is based on the belief that since God is one, He has only one religion and that religion is Islam. In the Koran, Sura 3:19, Allah says, "The only true faith in Allah's sight is Islam." In the Muslim mind, all of the prophets, from Abraham to Jesus, were Muslims—although the religion did not originate until the 6 th century. Therefore, the Koran is the final and true revelation of Allah, Mohammed is the final prophet, and the Koran is said to be written in the holy tongue of God, which is, according to Muslims, Arabic. Until a nation has embraced Islam, it is legally considered a battlefield ( Dar-ul-Harb ). Once it has been converted to Islam or all its citizens have been slaughtered or driven out, it then becomes a Land of Peace ( Dar-as Salaam ).
