part. 3. Seleucus took Babylon, Syria, Iran, Iraq and the eastern part. 4. Lysimachus took Turkey, Thrace and the northern part of the empire ( Dake's Bible, "Notes on Daniel," page 877). Daniel makes it clear that the Antichrist, identified as the little horn (Daniel 7:8 and 8:9), would arise out of one of these four divisions of the Grecian Empire. And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land (Daniel 8:9). Daniel gives the reader four choices for the rise of the final world dictator: the area of modern Egypt, Turkey, Greece, or the regions of Syria (and Iraq, which includes portions of ancient Babylon). This is emphasized again in chapter eight, where Daniel is told that the male goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power (Daniel 8:21, 22). Again, this alludes to the division of the kingdom after the death of Alexander the Great. The four choices we are given, then, are Egypt, Syria, Greece or Turkey.
