It is where the Medes and Persians conquered, and the kings of the Medes and Persians seized world power. Further, ancient Babylon is where Alexander the Great set up his command center. It is where he died drunk at age 33. All of the world's major religions were birthed in the area of this 10/40 window. According to Luis Bush, there are three major religions in this 10/40 block. Muslims number 706 million; Hindus, 800 million; and Buddhists, 300 million. In fact, 95 percent of the world's people who have never heard the Gospel live in the 10/40 window! The 10/40 window, with Iraq in the very center, is the heart of the Islamic religion and influence! Let's look at these revealing facts:  The 10/40 window contains a third of the world's land area; yet, two-thirds of the world's population live there.  Ninety-nine percent of the world's Muslim population lives there.  The harshest persecution against Christianity today occurs in the 10/4o window. From a spiritual perspective, this area has historically been controlled by some of the strongest spirits in the realm of darkness.
