Four years prior to Israel's war with the Romans that led to Jerusalem's demise, the star like a sword was a cosmic warning of impending danger. Four years prior to America's war on terrorism, and approximately four years prior to the Catholic Church experiencing its worst internal conflict in hundreds of years, a meteorite shower formed a sword over Italy! In November of 2001, another meteorite shower, the Leonid shower, occurred. This time the cosmic dust appeared to be falling from the paw of Leo the lion. As stated earlier, the lion is the emblem of the tribe of Judah. Christ is identified as the "lion of the tribe of Judah" (Revelation 5:5). This meteorite shower also formed the shape of a long sword in the sky. Was the sign that Josephus recorded, the star shaped like a sword, a meteorite shower that was visible over Jerusalem? If so, we are experiencing a repeat of the same type of signs. One may say, "Hasn't there always been comets, eclipses and meteorite showers? What is so important about these?" These are important because they are falling on Hebrew feast days and are happening during times when other Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled. Some, such as Hale-Bopp, have a pattern associated with the days of Noah. Since Jesus said there would be signs in the sun, moon, and stars, then we must be aware of these signs and understand how to properly discern them.
