To defeat the Jewish state and seize possession of the ancient high places (the West Bank), Judea and Samaria is a necessity for the Palestinians. Since the destruction of the Jewish Temple and Jerusalem in 70 A.D., Jerusalem has changed hands among Gentile empires. From the Romans to the Byzantines, to the Muslims, to the Crusaders, to the Turks, to the British, and finally, to the Jews, Jerusalem has been occupied for over 1,900 years. But prophecy indicates the Gentiles will take possession of Jerusalem one more time. The Scriptures outline Satan's plans and schemes, as he tries one last time to wrest control of the earth from God and from Jesus Christ.
