showed pictures of the pristine land where the administration proposed that drilling be done. The senator immediately rebuked the network for showing pictures not from Alaska! The facts are that the area being considered was about the size of Dulles Airport in northern Virginia, and the oil had already been located. I have never understood why a senator in the northeast should have any say so about what the people in Alaska want! Americans, by and large, don't like change and don't like to upset the status quo. Our national slogan should be "If it ain't broke, don't fix it; and if it is broke, don't tell me about it." Americans do not enjoy solving a problem before it happens, a hypothetical situation. But we love pointing the finger of blame at everyone else after the problem comes. It seems few politicians are interested in losing votes among the environmentalists; but they enjoy floating along. Yet, if America does not become more independent from Middle Eastern oil, we will find a man in the future who will cut off the oil to the West, thereby birthing a disaster. By owning much of the gold and silver and the gold in the sand of the Persian Gulf states, the nations of the world must come to him for their supply. The Scripture indicates that this man, the Antichrist, will set up a system of buying and selling, thus controlling even the common people.
