This is revealed through a word study in the Book of Daniel: He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time (Daniel 11:24). Notice this man will enter peaceably. Those dwelling in the country will accept him without a struggle. The phrase "fattest places of the province" is a strong clue that I believe alludes to controlling the oil states. The word "fattest" comes from the Hebrew root word shemon , which is the word for oily, or oil.
