where deserts have been transformed into farms, and where once-empty places are now inhabited. One of the major signs of the coming of the Messiah is that the wilderness and the desert will blossom and produce fruit (see Isaiah 35:1). The produce in Israel can not only feed the entire nation of Israel, but tons of produce is shipped throughout the world. This was predicted 2,800 years ago by Isaiah the prophet: He shaft cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit (Isaiah 27:6). W HEN THE L ATTER Y EARS A RRIVE Ezekiel emphasizes that this battle will ensue in the latter years. After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword (Ezekiel 38:8). And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when l shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes (Ezekiel 38:16).
