Who will build a place of worship and an altar on the Temple Mount? The answer is found in the Book of Revelation, in the same chapter that tells about a future Temple. Two men identified as the two witnesses in Revelation 11, will assist in building a temporary Jewish place of worship on the Temple Mount. One of these two witnesses will be Elijah the prophet according to Malachi 4:5 (Elijah was supernaturally translated into heaven in 2 Kings 2). Jesus said that Elijah will "restore all things" (Matthew 17:11). John, in Revelation 7, speaks of 144,000 Jews who will be sealed with the seal of God during the first part of the 7 year Tribulation. Early Jewish rabbis believed that, when Elijah appears, he will be given the knowledge of which tribe every Jew is originally from. A dear friend, Mike Coleman, once spoke to Professor Asher Kauffman in Israel about the possibilities of a third Temple being constructed in Jerusalem. Mr. Kaufman told Coleman that if the Jews were to rebuild a Temple, it would take 42 months from the beginning until the time the first sacrifice would be offered at the dedication. The reason? During the rebuilding process, certain prayers would be said and certain purification rituals would transpire during the new moons and feast days. The strange parallel is that the two witnesses of Revelation 11 will begin and conclude their ministry during a 42-month period (Revelation 11:1-4). At the conclusion of their ministry, the Antichrist will cause the sacrifice to cease. This sacrifice would possibly occur during the actual dedication of the Temple area, slated to
