were used to purify a person who was ceremonially unclean after touching a dead carcass. Hebrew researchers say that the ashes of a red heifer are needed to eventually purify the sacred furniture in any form of a future Jewish Temple. Several organizations and individuals in Israel have been involved for years in researching this subject and looking for a perfect, kosher red heifer. Several years ago I visited a farm in the Valley of Megiddo where a red heifer was selected as a candidate for the sacrifice. The cow was guarded because of threats from local Arabs. Later, she turned out to be invalid because portions of her red tail turned white. In the Spring of 2002, another red heifer was born. Several rabbis, including Chaim Richmond, declared the red cow kosher and a possible candidate for an offering. The idea of a small group of Jews seeking out a red heifer to fulfill a requirement in the Torah, and the fact that another group, the Temple Institute, has researched, designed and crafted items that can be used in a future Jewish Temple agitates nerves in the Islamic world. Perhaps this is why the Palestinian Authority has been working with Saudi leadership, making elaborate and clandestine plans to build the world's largest mosque in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount! They feel a sense of destiny as God prepares the World for the rule of their Mahdi. W ORLD ' S L ARGEST M OSQUE I N J ERUSALEM ? According to an article that appeared in Israel Today
