no place where they can stand on solid ground. Their foun dations are missing. Then, when they grow up, they will go out and try to become foundations themselves. The only problem is, they were never shown what a true foundation is. I once heard the statement, ―A young boy becomes a man when his father tells him he‘s a man.‖ Many young boys never had a father to tell them who they are. The pur pose of the male-man is to give foundation to the structure of life. I‘m praying that God will raise up some strong found a tional men. Men who will stand by their wives and stand with their children and be there as a stabilizer. Men whose families will feel secure in their strength. It doesn‘t matter what your father was — you can be a strong foundation by becoming the man God created you to be. I was speaking about this topic in Barbados recently, and a young man said to me, ―But you don‘t understand the history of the Afro-Caribbean man. I inherited my granddad dy and great- granddaddy‘s legacy, you know.‖ I said, ―Hold it right there. Whenever a negative history predicts your future, your present is in trouble.
