In this act, He established the principle that “man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4). A real man is a man of principles. He realizes that his spirit must be nourished by the Word of God or his spiri tual health will decline. God‘s Word is the precept by which he lives. Because he is a responsible leader, he is also committed to teaching the Scriptures to his family. A real man allows the Word to transform his life so that he can represent God‘s will on earth, thus spreading the Garden of God‘s presence to a world living in the darkness of sin and separation from God: Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life. (Phil. 2:14 – 16)
