praise, but He continued to follow His life‘s pur pose. God had shown Him the next step when He was in prayer. He said, “Let us go somewhere else— to the nearby villages — so I can preach there also. That is why I have come” (v. 38).

2. Acknowledge Christ’s Headship

The Bible says, “The head of every man is Christ” (1 Cor. 11:3). The most important thing a male can do is to ac knowledge the headship of Christ and commit to following Him on a daily basis in order to receive His direction. “I am the way and the truth and the life,” He said in John 14:6. Ul timately, Jesus Christ not only gives vision, but He is the vi sion, since we are called to be conformed to His image. You aren‘t fulfilling your purpose as a man until you can hear the voice of God. You aren‘t fulfilling your purpose as a man until you start speaking and affirming the Word of God in your life. To do this, you need to be in the same gar den environment that Adam was first placed in. We need to get back to the place where the glory can flow between God and man, where we can hear the voice of God, and God can give us direction. Because the Holy Spirit has been poured out into the hearts of believers, the garden is no longer just one spot on the earth — it is within the heart of every man who belongs to Christ. That is why Chr ist said, “The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). It is not within you of its own accord; the kingdom of God is within you because God Spirit lives within you. The kingdom of God —God‘s Spirit and will ruling in our hearts — has come to us through Christ, and it is through Him that we can fulfill the dominion mandate. We are called to spread the gospel message of reconciliation with God through Christ and of the gift of the Holy Spirit — who brings us power for living, working, and creating to the glory of God. If we want to fulfill our dominion responsibilities and as signments, we have to do so through the Spirit of Christ as we follow God‘s will. 3. Listen for God’s Direction
