N O ONE KNEW HE WAS BATTLING THE SPIRIT OF DEPRES sion and hopelessness. He was known as a great pastor, a well-known minister of the gospel, pastoring a large church where the members respected him and his wife and two sons. There was nothing in particular going on that would cause him to hit a pit of despair and eventually be found dead, where all evidence indicated he took his own life. Questions were posed with no answers. Was there something hidden that others did not know that was overwhelming to him? His victorious preaching gave no sign of a private struggle. As a redeemed, church-attending, tithe-paying, faithful believer, it is possible that your closest friends and family have not heard all of your testimony , as you “pick and choose” the stories you want people to know and avoid what you are trying to forget!
