There's a Crack in Your Armor Perry Stone
Jesus, and the Word of God will undo the glue of the bondage to which a person is stuck! There’s no “glue” so strong that the grip of God cannot break it loose! In John 8:36 we read, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” The Greek word for “free” means not only “to liberate” but also “to exempt from liability.” The word in Roman times referred to a free person who was a citizen and not a slave. The liability here refers to the penalty for a life of sin and for being a slave to Satan and disobedience, but the new freedom that Christ brings releases the individual from the penalty and power of sin. In the New Testament the idea of freedom is that of a slave being released (redeemed, purchased) out of the slave market and then given his or her personal freedom. There has never been a time since the resurrection of Christ that any satanic power, familiar spirit, or any demonic spirit could prevent the act of redemption and salvation from occurring when any person from any part of the world submitted himself or herself to Christ and asked Him for redemption through His blood (Col. 1:4). This is why Paul wrote: For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. —ROMANS 8:38–39
