Chapter 12 WHEN a SKANDALON CRACKS YOUR SHIELD

W HEN AN ENGAGED MAN CALLS OFF HIS WEDDING, IT IS A common expression for someone to say, “He broke her heart.” The heart is a flesh and blood organ that pumps blood throughout the body; thus, how can a fleshly organ be broken ? Research is now discovering that the actual physical heart is much more than a blood pump. 1 The Lord had much to say about the heart. The human mind has the ability to see images and process information. Both the heart and the brain have a specific life force. In the brain the life force is the soul, and in the heart there is a conscience linked to the soul. The brain is the three-pound physical computer that runs the entire body. Part of the brain function contains the mind, which I consider the hard drive of the brain, linking it to the five senses: hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, and touching, from which we derive all information and knowledge of the physical world.
