tunnels, when it was still off limits for other groups (because of insurance and liability issues). On one occasion the archeologist had changed the locks, and when our group arrived in the night, we were unable to get past the first iron gate leading to the underground site. The rabbi gave an order to have the locks broken for our group to visit. The Jewish guides with me were saying, “This is unheard of. You must have some kind of divine connection with the Lord and the rabbi!” At times in Israel I have witnessed this favor over and over again. I believe that God’s favor is often linked to places and people you love the most. I have a great love for Israel and for both the Arabs and Jews living in the land. This appreciation is visible when each year we air about twenty-five of our Manna Fest television programs that were taped in Israel. People around the world can sense the anointing, joy, and peace of God radiating from the programs. These programs are viewed in 249 nations and countries of the world and among commoners, world leaders, and many from varied religious backgrounds. My sincere love for God’s land has opened the door to very prominent Jewish friends, both in Israel and in America. What and whom you love can forge the strength and size of your shield of favor. For a believer favor should be released on a double level: “with God and men” (Luke 2:52). Favor with God is first initiated when we enter into a redemptive covenant though Christ and walk in the commandments and promises of that covenant.
